At IRMG we have developed multiple brands.

Kelly’s Cajun Grill

In 1991, Kelly’s Cajun Grill became the “Home of the Original Bourbon Chicken” when it opened its first restaurant in the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, Florida.  The delicious food and innovative concept fueled the company’s rapid expansion, even surpassing all of IRMG’s other concepts combined.  Kelly’s Cajun Grill is a proven concept with an excellent track record.  Kelly’s Cajun Grill typically rank as one of the top performing restaurants in mall food courts, even when compared against pizza, Chinese, and burger concepts.  The operations are very streamlined and the restaurants are capable of producing very high sales volumes with a very limited amount of space. There are currently 108 Kelly’s Cajun Grill restaurants, operating as company owned restaurants, partnerships, and franchises. Our world famous Bourbon Chicken is a delicious yet healthy dish made with fresh grilled chicken and our own special blend of sauces and seasonings.  Other favorites include Blackened Chicken, Blackened Fish, Shrimp Etouffee, Cajun Spicy Chicken, as well as a variety of delicious side dishes.

History: Cajun Food is known as one of the hottest concepts in the quick service industry, and not just for the bold and spicy flavors.  The unique menu at Kelly’s Cajun Grill is based on a very old cooking style that originated in Southern France, more than 200 years ago.  The emigrants traveled to Nova Scotia and eventually made their way down to Louisiana, adding ingredients and spices to their cuisine.  For many years, it remained the specialty of the Louisiana Bayou country until the rest of the world discovered it.

Although Cajun cooking is famous for it bold, spicy flavors, Kelly’s Cajun Grill has a wide variety of food to satisfy everyone.

Yeung’s Lotus Express:

Yeung’s Lotus Express was developed from the Kelly Yeung’s many years of experience in the full line restaurant industry.  His vision was to offer the quality and service of his full-line restaurants at the price and speed of quick-service restaurants.  The first Yeung’s Lotus Express was opened in Miami’s Bayside Market Place, overlooking Biscayne Bay.  The grand opening was such a success that Kelly decided to leave the full-line restaurant business and grow Yeung’s Lotus Express.  There are now currently over 40 Yeung’s Lotus Express restaurants operating as company owned, partnership, and franchise restaurants.

Fresh crispy vegetables, delectable sauces and savory spices are tenderly stir fried to produce mouth watering, healthy dishes for customers.  Our popular dishes include Orange Chicken, General Tso’s Chicken, Mandarin Chicken, Pepper Steak, Beef and Broccoli, and Chicken and Mushrooms.  Customers love the ability to create their own combinations by choosing the number and types of entrees they want.  Our quality, selection, and value keep customers coming back time and time again.

History: The Chinese culture is one of the oldest existing cultures in the world today and dates back more than 4,000 years.  Chinese food is one of the most popular ethnic foods and Chinese restaurants can be found in practically every major city in the world.  According to Chinese Restaurant News, Chinese food is so popular that there are now more Chinese restaurants in America that McDonald’s franchises- nearly three times as many in fact.  Chinese food is believed to have first arrived in the United States during the mid 19th century when Chinese workers arrived to help build the railroads in the West.  The food evolved to suit American tastes and incorporated local ingredients.  While there are many different types of Chinese food which originate from the different regions of China, Cantonese is the most popular style of Chinese food in America.

Suki Hana:

While once considered exotic, Japanese food has become very popular in the America.  Suki Hana brings the best of the Japanese cuisine to mall food courts, and at a fraction of the price most Japanese restaurants charge.  Our delicious teriyaki dishes are cooked fresh to order on our teppanyaki grill, right in front of our guests.  We also serve light and crispy tempura and fresh made sushi.  Our most popular dish is the chicken teriyaki which is made with our own slow cooked, home made teriyaki sauce.

IRMG added Suki Hana as its second concept when it opened its first unit in the Highland Mall in Austin, Texas.  Suki Hana became a growth vehicle that allowed IRMG to enter shopping centers that already had a Chinese restaurant.  IRMG even added Suki Hana restaurants in shopping centers that already had a Yeung’s Lotus Express.  Suki Hana quickly became a favorite of customers since the food was always cooked fresh in front of them.  There are now over 25 Suki Hana restaurants currently in operation.

History: Japanese food, like American food, is actually a fusion of different cuisines and incorporates ingredients from several different countries.  The Yayoi, a migrating tribe that settled in Japan, picked up rice growing techniques from Korea.  Today, Rice is server with every meal.  In fact, the word gohan means both rice and meal.  The Chinese contributed soy sauce, tea, and chopsticks.  In the 16th Century, fried foods were introduced by Portuguese and Dutch traders.  Since Japan is composed of four main islands, fish and seafood were always a large part of the Japanese diet.  The fusion of these elements has become the Japanese food we see today.

Chicken Connection opened its first location in the Great Lakes Crossing Mall in Auburn Hills, MI.  There is a very strong demand for chicken concepts with shopping center developers.  In fact, Chicken consumption has risen steadily in the United States and current estimates put the per capita consumption of chicken at almost 90 pounds per person according to foodreference.com.  Meanwhile, the per capita consumption of beef has declined to just over 65 pounds according to The Cattle Network.  This focus on healthier eating and today’s busy lifestyles give Chicken Connection an excellent growth potential.
